Background: Dr. Alessio J.G. Brown is Director of the Global Labor Organization (GLO), Honorary Professor in Labour and Macroeconomics at Maastricht University and Co-Director of the Centre for Population, Development and Labour Economics (POP) at the United Nations University - Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT). He is also. He is also Managing Editor of the Journal of Population Economics.
Previously Alessio J.G. Brown was Director of Strategy and Research Management and Member of the Board at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), Senior Consultant at the World Bank and in various research and management positions at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy - among others he was Executive Director of the Global Economic Symposium (GES) and Head of Research Area.
He has published scientific articles in international pee-reviewed journals and disseminated the research results and their societal or policy implications in policy outlets and via various media as well as at international policy events.
